Special Fast

A special fast for Spencer and Rhonda will be held this Sunday (July 1). Please keep them in your prayers. They are in the process of making long-term decisions about work and where to live.

Spencer and Rhonda

Hi all,
Just a little bad news for you all to gossip about if you like. HEEHEE! We had some disturbing events happen to us and had to return to Utah. We are here now looking for new jobs and a place to live. We are staying with some friends of my parents for the mean time.
About 2 weeks ago my wife called me while we were both at work. She was crying as she told me how her team members conspired against her that morning and got her fired. I may be biased but I know my wife would never do anything to deserve such treatment. I told her to meet me at the office where I went into my boss and told him I quit. I told him how my wife was treated by his employees and wouldn't stand for it. Family always comes first. Well, the next day we packed up our things and drove to arizona to stay with my inlaws for a week while we figured things out. My wife got a job interview in utah so we packed up the car again after a week in arizona and now we are back in salt lake.
Sorry for the confusion. We are pretty confused ourselves right now. We found a new place and Rhonda is starting her new job on Monday! I've been sending out resumes all over the place. If anyone has an IT job they know about let me know. I hope you all have less complicating lives. HAHAHA!

Our new address is 2152E. 3205S. SLC, UT 84109.
Our phone is 801-548-0178.

From Geraldine

I was looking through some paper work the other day and found a notebook my mom (grandma
Mayes) wrote in. It was fun to see some of your names and what you were doing. Wow! Can you believe it has been over ten years sense she left us. I still miss her and dad and their wisdom. I know I could use that wisdom now in my life with my schooling and such. Talking to Steve and Patrica the other day made me really miss Pauline also. I am at my last session in Lander this weekend. That makes only two more weekends to go on my Admin. endorsement then a research class in the fall. It has been a good learning experience but I am ready for a break. I have been teaching summer school as well and will be done this week. What will Kevin do with me home? I am enjoying my beautiful granddaughters and wish Hannah could be closer to watch her grow up. Oh well, she is well loved. I hope all is well with all of you and your in our prayers. Love to all Geraldine, and Kevin.

From Laretta

I am trying desperately to clean out my basement. I think it is a lost cause though. We had a big hail storm here on Wed night, but fortunately we and our home were all OK. Not so good for our bishop and a couple of other members of the ward. The bishops house was hit really bad by softball size hail. The siding is completely destroyed along with the roof and both sheds and garage. Plus all five of his cars (3 brand new) were out in the drive or they were just getting into them when the hail hit. Little Parker was hit by the back window crashing and then he was pelted by hail. He has many welts on him. Joe and I spent yesterday over to Sister Norlings raking up her yard and I'll bet we got a 100 or more piles of leaves and debris that had to be picked up. Her siding and roof and a window also have to be repaired. We then went over to a couple of other single sisters home and cleaned off a downed tree on their fence and several branches that had blown off. They too have to have their roof replaced but they escaped with only 3 or 4 holes in their siding.
After we were done, Joe took me to Applebees for dinner and then we came home and hit the bed. I can't believe that I don't really hurt today, because re raked for over 5 hours straight. The Lord has been kind to us. Thank goodness. Well Joe just called and said that there is a recycling something out in Richfield (down south) that will take old TV, for 10 to 29 dollars, (we have about 6 ot them at least) I guess they will take speakers and stuff like that, so I hope that he will be willing to part with a lot of the stuff that is just stored and probably doesn't work anymore. I can dream and hope can't I? Well I need to go and get some more work done, and then I have to go to town and get a couple of wedding presents and some ribbon to put on the wedding cakes.
I love you all. Have a great day.
Love Laretta

Welcome

I thought it would be fun to start a family blog-a journal of activities family wide. You can e-mail me or type in a comment with anything you would like to add. Send me pictures via e-mail and I will add them onto the site. Love you all!
