From Laretta

I am trying desperately to clean out my basement. I think it is a lost cause though. We had a big hail storm here on Wed night, but fortunately we and our home were all OK. Not so good for our bishop and a couple of other members of the ward. The bishops house was hit really bad by softball size hail. The siding is completely destroyed along with the roof and both sheds and garage. Plus all five of his cars (3 brand new) were out in the drive or they were just getting into them when the hail hit. Little Parker was hit by the back window crashing and then he was pelted by hail. He has many welts on him. Joe and I spent yesterday over to Sister Norlings raking up her yard and I'll bet we got a 100 or more piles of leaves and debris that had to be picked up. Her siding and roof and a window also have to be repaired. We then went over to a couple of other single sisters home and cleaned off a downed tree on their fence and several branches that had blown off. They too have to have their roof replaced but they escaped with only 3 or 4 holes in their siding.
After we were done, Joe took me to Applebees for dinner and then we came home and hit the bed. I can't believe that I don't really hurt today, because re raked for over 5 hours straight. The Lord has been kind to us. Thank goodness. Well Joe just called and said that there is a recycling something out in Richfield (down south) that will take old TV, for 10 to 29 dollars, (we have about 6 ot them at least) I guess they will take speakers and stuff like that, so I hope that he will be willing to part with a lot of the stuff that is just stored and probably doesn't work anymore. I can dream and hope can't I? Well I need to go and get some more work done, and then I have to go to town and get a couple of wedding presents and some ribbon to put on the wedding cakes.
I love you all. Have a great day.
Love Laretta
